Sartoria Lazzarin

ERMANNO LAZZARIN
Forty years ago, Ermanno Lazzarin synthesized an aesthetic language that today's style-conscious men around the world follow, blending classic, sportswear and vintage clothing. "I grew up in times when shops sold an ideal of perfection. Those luxurious windows were rigid, like real engineering treatises, the clothes plastered on the mannequins were pulled with pins. Men didn't dress, they disguised themselves with monolithic total looks that annihilated personality. Naturalness was not expected." In his shop "Eral 55" Ermanno combined his taste for American memorabilia, exotic leathers and artisanal knitwear with the family tradition of men's tailoring in which he grew up, exotic leathers and artisanal knitwear. He wears an unironed wool suit with the authority of a captain of industry, because "imperfections are a value", and to the image of a vain and inconsistent man he thus opposes a concrete style that does not shy away from "smudges", but rather seeks them.
